Schönbrunn Palace
The summer residence of the Habsburgs with its baroque parkland and the oldest zoo in the world is one of the country's most important cultural monuments. The imperial palace complex was added to the Unesco World Heritage List in 1996.
When visiting Vienna, Schönbrunn Palace is a must-see: the many palace rooms, the well-tended gardens, the zoo and the Wagenburg and all the beautiful corners and paths. A walk up to the Gloriette is also highly recommended if you can plan enough time for it. Here you can experience Vienna from its particularly sublime, imperial side with all its proverbial charm and cultivated beauty.
