St. Peter‘s Church

The huge dome can be
seen from far away

At the end of the Habsburgergasse you will reach the Graben, one of the famous pedestrians shopping streets Vienna. Like many cities in Europe, Vienna has its Plague Column. This one lies in the middle of the Graben Strasse, one of the most fashionable shopping streets in town. Emperor Leopold had this column erected in 1697 to commemorate the victims and to ward off future visitations. Crossing the Graben you will see St. Peter's Church: a very ornate and beautiful baroque church from Lukas von Hildebrandt.
